Client Concern
Precision installation and authentic vintage appearance for herringbone flooring
The client aimed to achieve a timeless European heritage style using herringbone flooring but was concerned about installation precision, as even minor dimensional errors could affect alignment. They also wanted a deep, natural aged look without artificial staining or surface fading over time.
Our Solution
We produced high-precision T&G engineered oak blocks (600 × 90 mm) to ensure tight, accurate herringbone installation with perfect alignment.
The 3-layer engineered structure guarantees long-term dimensional stability, preventing lifting or gapping in individual blocks.
For the finish, we used a smoked (fuming) process to develop color naturally within the wood, creating a deep, permanent tone (AC-10) that will not fade. A DE grade selection with brushed texture enhances the natural character, while a UV lacquer finish provides durable surface protection for daily residential use
