DL-703 — Oak Veneer 190mm ABCD Grade Brushed UV Lacquer Click Engineered Flooring
DL-703 is a 190×1,900mm engineered oak floor with a 1.2mm brushed oak veneer face on a poplar-eucalyptus multi-layer core, ABCD natural character grade, UV lacquer finish, and click floating installation. Produced at AMUER's Dalian partner factory, DL-703 is in stock and available for immediate shipment.
As AMUER's entry-level wide plank specification, DL-703 delivers the visual aesthetic of a 190mm natural honey-sand brushed oak floor — with flowing grain, natural knots, fine brushed texture, and a satin UV lacquer finish — at a price point significantly below the 3mm+ wear layer products in the main AMUER range. The 1.2mm oak veneer face is genuine European oak, identical in appearance to thicker-wear-layer products in the installed room, but with reduced material cost.

Product Overview
DL-703’s colour is the natural warm honey-sand of ABCD grade European oak under brushed treatment and UV lacquer — one of the most universally appealing floor colours. The 1.2mm veneer displays the identical colour as the same oak at any thickness: colour is inherent to the wood, not a function of veneer thickness.
The ABCD grade provides gentle natural character: warm honey-gold heartwood at the AB end, and small tight knots with light grain movement at the CD end, adding life and warmth without dramatic rustic intensity. The brushed surface adds fine grain texture — late-wood lines catch light as deeper amber, early-wood reads as paler cream — creating tonal movement that prevents flatness. The UV lacquer preserves this with a controlled satin sheen.
Colour palette compatibility: warm white & ivory · pale grey & greige · soft sage & pale green · terracotta & blush · warm stone & travertine · natural linen & cotton — virtually any interior palette benefits from warm honey-sand oak.

Room Suitability
| Room / Application | Suitability | Method | |||||
| Rental & Investment Residential Properties | Excellent | Ideal for buy-to-let: natural oak look maximises appeal, UV lacquer handles tenant use, competitive price maximises ROI. | |||||
| New-Build Residential — Budget Specification | Excellent | Delivers the oak wide-plank aesthetic expected by buyers and renters at a cost that works for new-build budgets. | |||||
| Staged / Phased Renovation Projects | Very Good | Lower cost makes first-phase installation economically appropriate when replacement is planned within 3–10 years. | |||||
Living Rooms & Bedrooms (Low-Traffic) | Very Good | Adequate durability for light foot traffic over expected 10–15 year lifespan.
Showroom & Display Applications | Good | Natural oak aesthetic at competitive cost for temporary or display floors.
High-Traffic Commercial / Hospitality | Not Recommended | 1.2mm veneer not suitable for heavy traffic; specify NC-01, SA-07, or other 3mm+ products.
Owner-Occupied Primary Residence (Long-Term) | Consider carefully | For 20+ year lifespan or refinishing needs, choose standard AMUER 3mm+ wear layer products instead.
Bathrooms / Wet Areas | Not Recommended | Not suitable for wet environments.
Care & Maintenance — 1.2mm Veneer UV Lacquer Floor
| Task | Method | ||||
| Daily | Dry sweep or vacuum with soft brush head. Grit underfoot is the primary wear mechanism at 1.2mm thickness. | ||||
| Weekly | Damp mop with well-wrung cloth and pH-neutral hardwood cleaner. No steam mop. | ||||
| Spills | Wipe immediately with dry cloth; UV lacquer resists household liquids effectively. | ||||
Doormats & entrance protection | Use quality doormats at all entrances to trap grit before it reaches the floor — the single most effective lifespan extender.
Furniture protection | Use felt pads under all chair and table legs; at 1.2mm, deep gouges can expose the core.
Periodic maintenance | No re-oiling required. Buff with approved hardwood floor polish every 6–12 months to restore sheen.
Surface damage | Cannot be sanded. Replace individual damaged click boards. Order spare boards from the same production batch at initial purchase.
Never | Steam mop · standing water · abrasive scrubbers · acid or bleach cleaners · sharp-heeled shoes · sanding of any kind · dragging heavy furniture.

FAQ
Q1. What is DL-703 and how is it different from standard AMUER products?
DL-703 is a 190×1,900mm engineered oak floor with a 1.2mm brushed oak veneer face on a poplar-eucalyptus core, 12mm total thickness, ABCD grade, UV lacquer, click installation, produced at the Dalian partner factory. The key difference is the 1.2mm veneer (standard products use 3–4mm), significantly reducing cost. Installed appearance is identical; the limitation is that DL-703 cannot be sanded or refinished.
Q2. Can DL-703 be sanded and refinished?
No. The 1.2mm veneer is too thin for sanding — it risks cutting through to the core. DL-703 is specified for replacement rather than refinishing at the end of its service life. For refinishing capability, choose NC-01 (3mm wear layer) or another standard product.
Q3. Is the 1.2mm oak veneer real oak or imitation?
It is genuine European oak (Quercus robur / Quercus petraea). The colour, grain, and brushed texture are all real wood. The floor looks and feels like oak because it is — the veneer is thin, but the material is authentic.
Q4. What is the expected lifespan of DL-703?
In normal residential use with proper care (regular sweeping, no grit, furniture pads, UV lacquer maintenance), the 1.2mm veneer can be expected to last approximately 10–15 years before showing significant surface wear. This makes it ideal for medium-term project specifications.
Q5. Can DL-703 be used with underfloor heating?
Yes, with careful management. Compatible with hydronic and electric UFH at max. 27°C surface temperature. Maintain indoor humidity at 45–60% RH year-round.
Q6. How does DL-703 compare to laminate flooring?
DL-703 has a genuine 1.2mm European oak veneer face — real wood — while laminate uses a photographic print layer with no real wood content. DL-703 looks, feels, and ages as real oak; laminate does not. DL-703 can be spot-repaired by board replacement; laminate cannot be repaired in the same way.
Q7. How do I order DL-703 and what is the minimum quantity?
Contact AMUER at arboren@arboren.com referencing DL-703. Provide required quantity in m² (include 10% wastage) and delivery destination. AMUER will confirm current Dalian stock, pricing, MOQ, and shipping quotation. Always order spare boards from the same production batch at the time of initial order.
